The Play Area is not supervised and equipment is not cleaned.

Users of the Play Area are asked to follow the guidance as follows:

• Social distancing of 2m must always be maintained (or 1m with risk mitigation where 2m is not possible).
• To enable as many children as possible to enjoy the equipment please limit time of use if others are waiting.
• One child is allowed on each piece of equipment at a time.
• Parents/Carers: You will need to clean the equipment before your child uses it. Use hand sanitiser or wipes to clean it and your children’s hands before and after use.
• Do not touch your face. Remember to cough or sneeze into a tissue. Take tissues home or put them into the bins provided (use an arm if a tissue is not available).
• Children’s clothes should be washed when they get home.
• Families with clinically vulnerable members: Do NOT use the equipment without cleaning it first.
• Wearing face covering in the playing field is advisable but not mandatory.
• Please use common sense and think of others.

WCC Children’s Services

In the event a single parent finding themselves in difficulty with no provision of care for their children – e.g. if they have to go into hospital as a COVID-19 emergency, WCC will help parents and try and locate family members and connected others, friends etc who may be able to help. 

If not and there are no other options WCC will step in and provide care.  WCC sometimes have such situations normally where a single parent needs to go into hospital and has no support network that can help and would provide a similar service in these circumstances.

It has come to the attention of the parish council that some parishioners (and councillors!) find it frustrating how long it can take for projects to be completed and concerns discussed by the parish council. Unfortunately the parish council is restricted by many rules and regulations that slow things down and the frustration is felt by all.

The parish council would like to try to reduce this frustration for everyone and the best way we can do this is to try to ensure that parishioners and councillors are aware of the basic rules we have to follow and try to work with them.
